I chose to start wearing lenses for my work, mainly because I dance a lot and I thought it would be easier and more comfortable than glasses, especially when performing on stage. Plus, my gran was keen for me to try them! Now I wear them nearly every day, for about 10 hours a day. I come and have regular eye tests and contact lens check-ups to make sure the health of my eyes are all OK and make sure my vision hasn't changed.

I think I was about 14 or 15 when I first tried lenses, it was a long time ago now! I remember coming in for a fitting, then being shown properly how to use them. Obviously being quite young it's important that I was looking after my eyes and with having monthly replacement lenses I had to clean them properly. Putting the lenses in and out took a little bit of getting used to, but after about a week or so it just became second nature and now is just part of my every day routine.

The comfort of the lenses are great, I don't even know I have them in and the vision is really clear, exactly the same as my glasses. Literally the odd time over the last couple of years I've had a lens split but not very often. I have monthlies so I just use a new one and get a replacement lens. I still wear my glasses, but mainly contact lenses but it's nice just to wear my glasses and give my eyes a rest sometimes. It's also a nice change as well and I like my glasses.
